Frequently Asked Questions

The unit uses custom bags designed to withstand repeated compression cycles. The compactor should only be used with Compax Original Bags. There are several reasons for this requirement:

  1. Durability: Compax Original Bags are made to endure multiple compression cycles without tearing, while other bags may not withstand the process.
  2. Handle Grips: These bags feature handle grips that prevent slippage after compression, even as the bag fills up and the weight increases.
  3. Perfect Fit: Compax Original Bags are tailored specifically for the waste bin, ensuring minimal resource consumption and a seamless fit.

Though primarily designed for paper towels, the compactor can handle other types of light waste like paper cups. However, heavier or more compact waste items may not be compressed as effectively. We recommend avoiding the disposal of significant amounts of liquid to maintain efficiency.

Currently, we only offer one size with a 35-litre capacity and dimensions of 38 x 81 x 26 cm. The compactor's 15:1 compression ratio makes it a great alternative to larger waste containers while fitting into most washrooms.

The compactors are connected to fixed power, which is more cost-effective over time. They consume a maximum of 65W during compression. Installation is usually straightforward due to low energy consumption.

On average, the compactor compresses waste at a 15:1 ratio. Depending on washroom traffic, bags typically need to be emptied twice a month if previously emptied daily with regular waste containers.

No personal data is collected. The compactor gathers data on the waste level, washroom traffic, and technical functions to optimize its performance. This data is not personally identifiable.
